We were founded in 1999. We sold dinners and did car washes and with a few donations, we were able the raise the $25K needed to field 3 teams to become an association. We grew to as many as 12 football teams at one point with over 350 kids. At that same time, we also had 5 Cheerleading squads. We were associated the Pop Warner football League from 1999 thru 2020 but, we have sense moved on to the United Youth Football League (UYFL) and a member of the River City Youth Football Cheer Conference (RCYFCC).

SWAA has a total of 4 National Championships in football (2001, 2011, 2012, 2016) and 1 Cheerleader National Championship (20120 with 1 Football National Championship (2010). We are the most decorated and storied association in Jacksonville and is Nationally recognized for our achievements.

We are the home of the birds: Silverhawks, Redhawks, Cardinals, Ravens, Seahawks, Falcons, Hawks and Eagles; Thus, giving us the nickname: "THE BIRD GANG":
